The Keano goal machine.....oh.

Keane. Robbie Keane. Scores 4 in one match and then fades into the background and blends into obscurity with Jermain Jenas. I'm writing this because I genuinely don't know what is happening to him. Is he falling apart? Imploding? A few stitches away from a complete jumper? Or is there really more to his game than being a striker (you know, one of those players who like... err... score?) Is he a smaller Heskey? The provider not the finisher? What went wrong???

Personally I'm not 100% sure myself. There seems to be something missing, a slight bluntness to where his razor sharp reactions, ball control, skill (who can forget Boulahrouz being done twice in the build up to the Lennon goal???) and finishing to where it once was prior and during the Berbatov era at Spurs. Where has this gone? Perhaps it could of been left by the corner flag at the Kop end of Anfield as he missed chance after chance during his time north of the Watford Gap? He shows flashes of his genius which is what the frustrating thing is! He does need a couple games on the bench, just to really see how his form is effecting the team I think. Get him back to the razor sharp striker we all saw in him!!! He is a great player and Spurs through and through (even if he does have one eye looking at Anfield) which can only be good for the team - but in the LONG term, not necessarily now.

City tonight, shitting myself... BIG game. We HAVE to win this, send a message to the other contenders for 4th/5th. Its time to bounce back in style after the Wolves embarrassment. We will get back on the rails and move up that ladder once again! COYS!!!!!

Other games on tonight (predictions only me thinks)

Burnley vs Arsenal [1-2]
Chelsea vs Pompey [4-0]
Liverpool vs Wigan [2-1]

Liverpool vs Wigan will be the pick of the games tonight. Rafa really has to sort his troops out or he will be on his arse and down the job centre with 80% of the Liverpudlian population. Am I the only one who thinks he really is one cream cake away from a heart attack? He really does not look well! I put 2-1 Liverpool down, only because I think there gonna scrape it and go on a big push towards the top of the league. Who knows???

My prediction for the Spurs game you ask???

Spurs [3-2] Man City

FM10 - Worth another crack?

I loved the FM series, since the days of 2006 where Mido turned into the best player and would grab 48 goals a season for me, but somethings changed in 2010 that is really bugging me and I cannot grasp it. Is it tactics? Is it the fact that I'm starting to get bored of it? Can I not just stick out a season and see where I get?

At one stage I had numerous games on the go, with my Spurs game (doing shite) my Derby game (wasnt too bad, still difficult) and my Lincoln one (fail) but still not getting anywhere. I have tried hundreds of different tactics and its just not happening. Perhaps 2010 has become a little 'too' realistic? MW2 is taking up much of my free-time at the moment, let alone the rare game of fifa10 I manage to get, so where do I find the time to GRIND out a season or two?

Because I've started so many games on 2010, I get bored by October, as I know who to buy - just not where to put them in the team :@. The Demo was a piece of piss, somehow the difficulty has been vamped up to a different level; did any of you experience this?

For once, I actually have a day off this week - so I might give it one last shot, either that or it gets dusty on the shelf or put behind one of the many games I play...

Formalities and Proposal to those out there!

Don't know if this is necessary or not, but I have added some legal shit in the bottom right corner. Only so I don't get sued by some fat American over an image/ painting or whatever that I replicated or something. You never know what people are like.

So just to clarify, I cant draw. I never have been able to and probably never will. I just thought that adding some random little 30 second images (and I really do mean 30 second images, I've done about 15 of them now) to correspond with the post that I have written.

If you would like to write for this blog, contact me at twista.moh@graffiti.net and I will be more than happy to consider you. It could be for gaming or football. It would be great to get a little banter on here between bloggers (all you football fans out there who cant be arsed to setup a blog!!!) Same goes for artistry, I'm shite at it (as you can see) but if you would like to do some design work (drawing or even HTML coding the blog) then I would be more than greatful!

I actually want to try and get people to read this. Why the fuck would I be putting this shit online otherwise??? So if you would spread the word about this blog I would appreciate it. It might not be to some of your taste, I respect that.
I'd love to turn this into a community thing. Ya' know, something with a little bit of everything for people to enjoy!

Much love

EPL: Wolf in Wolves clothing.

COYS (Come on you Spurs... you'll get used to that) indeed. WAIT. Put the breaks on there a minute. Did we just lose to Wolves? Yep. Oh. With the likes of Man Sheik, Liverpool etc dropping points it was a great chance for us to gain some form of advantage. Of course we weren't to know at the time so that's not to blame. Spurs on a whole are so hit and miss at the moment its:

"WHEEL OF FORTUNE!"

The options are:
1. The 9-1 style performance against Wigan
2. The tactical genius of 2-1 win over Liverpool
3. The dogged displays against Villa and West Ham
4. The drab and lifeless performance against Stoke
5. The shambles against Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea

Looks like we landed on option 4 there didn't we? Oh dear.

Enough about Spurs.

This weekend was a great advert for EPL football. Chelsea and Man Sheik showed that comedy is back with abundance in defence. There was sheer panic in both defences, it was just fantastic. As the MOTD commentator said in the Chelsea game, "It seems that all you have to do to score against Chelsea is put a set-piece in the box". Brilliant. Couldn't agree more. Was great to see that UTD didnt cheat there way to a draw or victory, as per the norm. Shame it was against Villa, could of really done with Villa loosing after the Spurs shambles. Liverpool are in panic mode. Arsenal were shit, just couldn't handle the pace of the Liverpool counter attack, but the ever present Torres can't seem to find his shooting boots. Funny to see Andy Gray still having a mild orgasms during the SUPER SUNDAYYYY!!!!1!!!11!!!!111!! game(s) that weren't exactly decent. Gerrard had a bad game (well according to Andy Gray he was phenomenal) but hey....

Round up:

Spurs had a shit weekend. The top 4 had a shit weekend. It definitely a day for David rather than Goliath. Time for Goliath to wake up once again and start shouting at some under-privileged children.

Cod4: MW2 - The gift and the curse

Apologies for the shite album name reference, but I figured it was necessary. I have this game over two platforms (originally PC, then bought a 360 and figured I'd get it on that) so I sort of have an idea of the game itself. I have never really been a fan of first person shooters (FPS for short) on any form of console, besides the Halo series and I've always been shit at that. So when I decided to pick MW2 up on the console I was sceptical to say the least. But DAMN that game is addictive. It pushes you to become better. After getting the epic kill/death ratio of 9-12, 10-32 or (my personal favourite) 3-21 I actually took some time out to try and get better. That might sound a little sad, but I was just getting laughed at by random Americans on mic (more on that later)
On the PC, something just put me off MW2. The fact that matchmaking was in place was a massive let-down. Dedicated servers are what made FPS games unique. Having a game on the map YOU want with the amount of people YOU choose gives the player a sence of freedom. Given the choice of 360 or PC, 360 wins hands down. No lag, no worries about frame-rates, no need to over-clock your card. Good times!
But, there is a downside to the 360 version. Players/ certain maps. The game itself is great - so I probably shouldn't hate on it for this reason...
Of course there are going to be maps that I dont like. That's down to personal opinion and taste; but why are certain maps DESIGNED to be frustrating. Poor level design comes from not playing FPS games originally; that is evident in some cases. For instance, Karachi. Why are there areas in which the opponent can climb right to the top (and higher, found glitches... more on that at a later date) to fire where I spawn?? The same goes for Invasion and in some cases Quarry.
OK, saying that is the equivalent of trying to get through a brick wall by licking it, can be done.. but not really needed. The game is great overall but there will always be some things to let it down imo.
Players are a problem, but I cant fault the game for that... If you are on 360 late at night you might as well stick your head in a microwave. It'd probably do your brain as much good. Some of the stupid 'individuals' that come online who start there ridiculous whining and their common 'tea and crumpets (har har har)' comments just make me want to hit something or someone in the face with a shovel. Trash talking is part of the game nowadays and I understand that (fuck, I do it abit..) but I really think people should be given an IQ test before being allowed onto XBOX live. I swear, this happened last night...:
American1: Wah wah wah (cant remember exact words, but was crying about some other American who wouldnt stop saying he was from Salt Lake and needed to go ice skating)
Me: *Laughing on mic* tell him man.
American1: oh... your British
Me: Yep. English, London. So?
American1: G'day mayyyyteee - Man I'm glad Steve Irwin is dead
Me: errr... that's Australia you dumb fuck.
American1: bullshit.
No more needed is there....

All Change Please... All Change

Hallo, good morning etc etc.

I've decided to somewhat shift my intentions of this blog to blend two passions of mine:

- My beloved Spurs
- Gaming

This might come as a strange 'left at the traffic lights' situation, but I've always been a passionate gamer and when I get the free-time I am either playing games or working on the half-life 2 source SDK to create something of my own. I read regular reviews on games and have played quite a large number myself. But hey, thats thems the passions I gots.... I enjoy it... if you dont, then fuck you sir or madam :)

"WHAT IS THIS???" I hear you say. Well this might come as a slight shock but I guess I am a geek. As much as that word pains me, it must be true. I'm not exactly the type of person who will get involved in a hexadecimal argument at the pub, I am a normal person... I just like games and am fascinated with the psychological effect games have on each and every one of us as we play, how we feel etc. Ok I'm rambling... ill stop there on that.

More to come, unfortunately I really haven't had the time to play FM10 properly. When I have, it hasnt gone too well: I just cant figure out the damn tactics properly....

More thoughts to follow

CY.
